Hare......
'Hare' was rescued at the beginning of March after he had been seen over several nights on a night camera by a vigilant fosterer as being quite thin. He weighs only 360gms. Possibly one of last year's youngsters.
Quite secretive this one and difficult to get a reasonable photo as I didn't want to cause him any stress. Had eaten well overnight, and being treated for internal parasites. Just need to get his weight up then he can go back to his garden.
Update: Hare has now been released.
Sue......
This little female was picked up after being found lying at the side of a busy road in Hambleton during the daytime. She had all but given up. On admission she was found to be severely hypothermic and just skin and bone weighing only 300gms. Possibly just come out of hibernation. She was nursed in an incubator and given replacement drip fluids. Tests revealed she was loaded with internal parasites, so treatment for this was started the following day. Currently doing much better and has put on weight which is a good sign.
