Homer......
This little chap was rescued out of a garden where he had become trapped with no way out. He had been looked after for several months but the family contacted me because they were going away and they were concerned for him. It's not known how he had got in the garden, but for his welfare it meant he needed to be got out. He stayed at the Rescue Centre for twenty four hours to check all was well, and then was released into a safe area in Stanah.
Brenda......
'Brenda' arrived from Stanah Gardens after being found in a garden during the daytime. The finder reported a leg sticking out so it was off to the Vets to be gassed down (the hedgehog, not the finder!) and checked to see if the leg was actually broken. Thankfully it wasn't, the Vet thought just bruising so back to the Hospital for some R and R for a few days. Brenda was released one week later.
Abby......
'Abby' was seen out during the daytime in a local garden. She has a huge abscess in her neck. Was treated with antibiotics and a painkiller then the abscess was drained over several days. Must have been so painful. Currently doing well and will be released in about a week.
Flynn......
'Flynn' arrived after being found on Hillylaid Road just lying in the sun. He was very skinny and obviously hungry as he was soon demolishing a dish of kitten kibble. He needed treatment for internal parasites after which he steadily gained weight and was released back into the wild on 4th June.
