Tiggy, Winkle and Dimples......
Three hand reared babies released back into the wild into a safe release area in Stanah on the evening of 23rd August. All good weights and ready to go.....
Wally......
This little chap was rescued on 24th August from the Stanah area after being found on a road. Around 10 weeks old, very skinny and very hungry. Is being treated for internal parasites and is responding to treatment well.
Wilma......
You may remember Wilma who was rescued at Windy Harbour traffic lights a few weeks ago. She was diagnosed with a head injury resulting in her losing one eye and her being active during the daytime. Although I asked for anyone with a safe garden locally that could take her, not one person came forward. So - my only option was to release her into a safe garden in Waddington in the Ribble Valley on 21st August. No traffic and surrounded by fields and hedges, so she should be quite safe there. She did well in Kevin's garden for the past few weeks, but it was not possible for her to stay there permanently. She now weighs over a kilo! I am sure she will be fine in her new garden and be able to live out the rest of her life as safe as she could possibly be.
