Charlie......
Charlie was admitted on 21st March. He was originally from Darwen where his finders had overwintered him as he was too small to survive on his own. They recently moved to Blackpool and brought Charlie with them. He had emerged out of hibernation three days prior to them contacting me, concerned that they didn't feel happy just to release him as he had been indoors since last November. So here for a quick MOT and then will be transferred to an outside enclosure under the care of a foster carer to get him used to the outside world again before release.
Albert (alias Clarence)......
Albert is looking so much better now. He is still losing spines so needs further treatment for ringworm but overall his condition has much improved. Still deciding what would be best for his long term future.
Ferrari......
This male hedgehog was found curled up behind the front wheels of a stationary car in Thornton, not the best place to be. The finder alerted the owner of the car and then Ferrari was rescued and brought to us. He was icy cold and very thin with suspected advanced lungworm. He was made comfortable on a heat mat, but sadly he did not survive the night.
