Bernie......
Bit of a strange one this one, this is Bernie. I can only think that he has been laid in or walked through something caustic like a chemical as his legs, feet and 'male bits' are red raw and look like burns. He was given antibiotics and pain relief and daily antiseptic baths to keep the areas clean. This photo shows after several days of treatment his legs and feet are now less red and healing well.
Cleo......
Baby 'Cleo' 4/5 weeks old and weighing just 164gms was admitted after being found out during the daytime on her own. Very poorly with severe diarrhoea and worm burden. Now on drip fluid replacement and antibiotics. Worming procedure will start later when she is rehydrated. A hedgehog's back end should be nice and round, you can see how underweight she is as her back end is very pointed.
Butters......
This little juvenile named 'Butters' was rescued from a local garden on 22nd October after he was seen to be out during the daytime. He has loads of ticks around his head. Had to wait for him to relax enough to uncurl for me to get at whatever was hiding underneath him. He must feel better with those off him.
