September 2019

This little guy aged approximately four weeks arrived all the way from Blackburn after being found out during the daytime with no sign of his Mum or any of his siblings. He was severely dehydrated and cold and so was placed in an incubator and given fluid therapy.  Once recovered he was soon tucking into his food.
Another hedgehog also from the Blackburn area was brought to us after being seen struggling to walk.  On admission it was found he only had three legs, he had a back leg missing and had been trying to walk on the stump.  There was massive infection in the site which had more than likely have travelled into the bone.  He also had a large infected facial wound involving half of his face.  With so much infection going on, the Vet decided it would be kinder to put him to sleep and out of pain.
