Beryl......
This juvenile hedgehog arrived from a built up area in Cleveleys after she had been seen to be active in a garden during the daytime indicating all was not well. After a course of appropriate wormers she had doubled her weight and at 600 gms she was released back into the wild in a safe area on 26th August.
Clarence......
'Clarence' is an old boy who was rescued on 15th August from a release site as he just didn't look well. He was found to be severely underweight and so dehydrated his eyes had sunk so far back it looked like he didn't have any. He was started on sub cut rehydration fluids to get his fluid levels back to normal. He remained poorly for a few days and it was touch and go as to whether he would survive.
Two weeks later and 'Clarence' has put on over 200gms in weight and is looking much better. Hopefully we can release him back into his garden in the coming week.
Arnie......
This 8 week old baby kept appearing during the daytime over several days in a garden in Carleton. It was only when he started to be unsteady on his feet and was wobbling that help was sought. 'Arnie' was hypothermic and dehydrated so was given sub cut fluids and placed in an incubator. He is currently making slow but steady progress.
