July 2020
A very busy month. 'AJ' and his siblings have now all been released back into the garden where they were found along with 'Alice' their Mum.  'AJ' was held back for a couple of weeks and placed with a foster carer in a contained area of his garden.  He was still active during the day unlike his siblings, so just needed time to adjust. Many underweight juveniles were also admitted after being found out during the day and not coping.  Not all could be saved but many were helped. The Rescue Centre has been working at full capacity and more for weeks.

Clifford......

This four week old baby was found in the Out Rawcliffe area on July 5th with a sibling who was unfortunately dead.  He weighed just over 100gms.  A poorly baby who was icy cold and dehydrated, but once warmed up and given fluids his condition improved. His character then began to show as he turned out to be quite feisty, not a bit interested in formula milk but demanding meat for his dinner.

Update:   'Clifford' now weighing 350gms has been transferred to outdoor facilities with a foster carer on 22nd July to get him used to the outdoors and to gain more weight before he can be released.

Update:  Was released back where he was found in Out Rawcliffe on 3rd August.

Roadrunner......

This four week old baby was rescued after being spotted running across a busy road in Poulton on 17th July.  The lady bravely got out of her car and stopped both lanes of traffic to pick him up and bring him to the Rescue Centre. Is currently doing well.

Ethel......

This old girl arrived mid July after being rescued crossing a road in Great Eccleston in the afternoon.  Currently being treated for a possible UTI.

Keith......

This baby was rescued by one of the Rangers at Stanah Country Park after being found out during the day.  Is being treated for a host of internal parasites and despite being quite poorly is responding well at the moment.
