Tinsel......
This is 'Tinsel' who was rescued out of a garden shed in Great Eccleston in the first week of December after she was discovered in a makeshift nest she had built out of an old sack, plastic bags and bits of rubbish. The shed had apparently been locked for quite some time the finder thinks, so we are not sure how long she has been trapped in there. She is dehydrated and very hungry so is being treated with rehydration fluids to begin with. Is now safe and warm.
Oscar......
This little chap was seen in a local garden during the afternoon busy searching for scraps of food from underneath a bird table. Obviously hungry and underweight at 400gms, he was rescued and brought to us for care. He was treated for Flukes as well as other internal parasites and is currently making good progress, but will remain here for several more weeks.
Anne's rehabilitated hedgehogs......
Photo taken recently by Anne of rehabilitated hedgehogs at night in her feeding station. They were released back into her garden in Thornton-Cleveleys following treatment. Look like they are doing well now by the size of them! These are hopefully Sherlock, Moriarty and Elvis.
