Frosty......

This little chap arrived from the Preston area after being found out and about scavenging for food during a cold and frosty night.  Weighing less than 400gms he would struggle to survive over winter, so it was decided to bring him in.  He is currently doing well and one week later now weighs 500gms, so in a mild spell of weather and with a bit more weight on him he can be released back into the garden where he was found, with supplementary feeding provided.

Buster......

This baby hedgehog was found trapped in a household drain after the cover had blown away in the wind.  It's not known how long he was trapped there.  With all the recent heavy rain falling in on him from the drainpipe, water could well be in his lungs.  The finders managed to free him out of the drain, but he was severely hypothermic and in a bad way.  'Buster' was placed in an incubator and on a heat mat to try and warm him, but despite receiving emergency care he sadly did not survive.

Erica......

Rescued from a garden in the Morecambe area.  The finder had seen her and thought she was too small to survive over winter and she was - weighing just 360gms.  Currently doing well and can be returned once she has gained sufficient weight to be released.
