Moira......
'Moira' was rescued out of a local garden which was in the process of being tidied. The gardener was clearing a large pile of leaves when he discovered in amongst them was a hedgehog hibernating. It was impossible to put her back as the nest had been trashed, so she was brought back to the Rescue Centre for observation. She weighed 500gms so a bit underweight. The disturbance had brought her out of hibernation as she was active and eating the following day. She will stay here now until the warmer weather and then can be released.
Frankie......
This little chap was found huddled beside a wheelie bin in a garden in Great Eccleston. Not being in a nest there was obviously something wrong as he should not have been out in the open during daylight hours. He was very cold and underweight so is receiving necessary care until he can be released back into the wild.
