Millie..........
This winter has been relatively mild which has meant some hedgehogs have only gone into hibernation for a short time or haven't hibernated at all. The severe flooding up and down the country will have meant many hedgehogs in their nests will have simply been swept away. This little hedgehog was rescued from a local garden which was temporarily flooded just recently. Millie was icy cold when she arrived. She also had more than her fair share of ticks on her which were not doing her any good, so after they were dispensed with she was immediately placed in an incubator to get her warmed up. A few hours later and she was up on her feet and eating her dinner! She is continuing to do well but won't be released until the weather improves.
