I was also called out to rescue a hedgehog that had found itself stuck in a fox trap. Luckily no harm was done and after a few of days recuperation and plenty to eat he was released back into the garden - but after the trap had been removed.
There was a steady influx of underweight juveniles brought in throughout the month after being found out during the daytime and struggling to survive. Some too were admitted by diligent members of the public after they had seen a hedgehog in their garden at night which they thought was too small to survive over winter. Anything under 450gms was admitted. Anything over 500gms was not admitted if support feeding every evening was being given by the finder.
