Gabi......
A four week old baby was rescued a couple of days ago from the side of a road by a lady out walking her dog. Gabi had all but given up just lying there. She was hypothermic and dehydrated but amazingly no flystrike. It took a while to get her warm and hydrated. Once settled she was tried with hand feeds but wasn't in the least bit interested. She just wanted to feed herself - independent little madam! Currently feeding well and gaining weight daily, but at only 90gms she will be here for quite a while.
Rambo......
Remember 'Rambo' who came in with a terrible facial wound last month? Well he's nearly ready to be released now, the wound has healed up well, but he will have a lasting scar.
Update: He has now released back into the wild.
Stan......
Little Stan was rescued from a local caravan park after he was seen to be active during the afternoon. He had flystrike and was hypothermic. Following treatment for this he soon settled and was feeding well. He had treatment for internal parasites and was soon gaining weight. Stan was released back into the wild weighing over 500gms.
